Hi, my name is Gloria Chang. Taiwanese by birth and Italian by love.
Here at Gloritalia, I tell stories of things I’m most passionate about – wine & food. Stories about winemakers who make wines that speak to my soul, stories about chefs who make food that warms my heart, stories about places where wine & food are served in perfect harmony, and stories of many other more.
Before following my heart to Milan in 2007, my passion for food & wine was like dormant seeds. The moment when I started to comprehend Italian, I soaked myself in everything this boot-shaped country has to offer. I started exploring the vast varieties of Italian wines, discovering differences among regional cuisines, and experimenting food/wine pairing. The seeds of passion just sprouted!
While I enjoyed learning by doing, I believe nurturing myself with solid knowledge can lay a concrete foundation for the future. I took sommelier course at AIS (Associazione Italiana Sommelier) in 2012, L2 & L3 courses at WSET in 2013, and more recently a Master in Viticulture and Wine Marketing.
