How do you feel when you open your mailbox and find some postcards from friends? For me these cards are the greatest presents that I can receive!
Tuesday afternoon I came home from my Italian class and opened our mailbox to check whether we receive our Economist. Apart from that quite-on-time magazine, I also found two postcards addressed to me: one is from Taiwan and the other is from Ireland.
The postcard from Taiwan was sent by Chantell who I knew few years ago because of our passions to gourmet. When I was still in Taiwan we used to go out for wine tasting or similiar kind of events. Since I came to Europe, keeping regular contacts or chatting frenquently became mission impossible. Time difference and our busy schedules were the main reasons. Still we keep sending each other postcards from time to time to let the other know that we care.
The one from Ireland was sent by a new friend. We met at Italian language school when she took one-month course with us. She is a lovely lady with 1/4 Italian blood. At the end of July we became friends. We promised each to write emails only in Italian so that we both can practice. We just started and think we’ll continue doing so to keep our friendship going.
